My Real Journey So Far - How I Got Here and Why I Keep Going

You might have already read the snapshot of my story on the About page.
What’s the real story? It's messy, layered, beautiful, full of detours and learnings — and it's still unfolding.

There have been plenty of hurdles along the way. I’ve tried to launch past businesses, juggled too many things at once, restarted my career post many times, battled burnout and self-doubt... just to name a few.

Alongside the challenges, there have also been unforgettable moments.
Empowering my team at the Commonwealth Games, launching my first product, managing my first event, building my trail running community, finding joy in the moments of connection — feeling alive, inspired, and aligned with purpose.

All of it has led me to my why:

  • To create positive impact through connection and experiences.

  • To help others share their stories.

  • To empower communities to be their best selves.

So if you're ever in that wobbly space — unsure, overwhelmed, or just trying to find your next step — here are some lessons I continue to lean into:

  1. Be Authentically you.

I’ve learned to embrace my frizzy hair, the quirks, the chaos, and the calm.
Your uniqueness is your magic. Trying to fit in steals your spark.

  2. Reconnect with your values

My values guide my decisions and remind me why I started. When stress creeps in, it's often a sign I’m out of alignment.

In team settings, I love inviting others to reflect on shared values — drawing them, writing them, owning them. That’s when values become lived, not just listed.

  3. Remember the power of WHAT IF..

“What if it works?” “What if this is the moment everything changes?”

This mindset has helped me reframe fear and communicate possibility — especially in times of change or uncertainty.
Try using it in your next team meeting or planning session. It opens doors.

  4. Stay Curious

Learning never stops. I’m still evolving, still listening, still experimenting.

I can't wait to share stories from the community — stories that inspire, teach, and remind us we’re in this together.

  5. People remember how you made them feel

Whether you’re planning an event, running a program, launching a campaign — it all comes back to connection.

Let kindness, clarity, and presence lead the way.

I share this not because I have it all worked out — but because I’m walking this path too.

If you’re feeling uncertain, stuck, or just plain exhausted… you’re not alone.

You don’t have to be perfect.
You are enough.
You are valued.
You are worthy.
And you deserve a life that lights you up.
